Notice about Appraisal and Awarding Ceremony

Appraisal of 2026 Intel Cup Undergraduate Electronic Design Contest - Embedded System Design Invitational Contest will start in Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Min Hang Campus), Shanghai from July 20, 2026 to July 22, 2026, and the awarding ceremony will be held on the afternoon of July 23, 2026. The related arrangements are listed below:
Report and Introduction Submission
Each team should submit the brief introduction and full report before 24:00 July 1, 2026 (Beijing Time, UTC+ 8:00) by email to nuedc@sjtu.edu.cn，while the working system should be brought to Shanghai, China for testing by participants.

Agenda
All the teams will participate the appraisal on July 21. Teams from overseas should arrive in Shanghai and register on July 20, 2026. The appraisal results will be announced at the Awarding ceremony which will be held on the afternoon of July 23.
Each team has about half an hour to show their project, including presentation, demo, and answering experts’ questions.
Please take the personal ID card or passport, which will be examined before team’s testing.
The organization committee will only provide screwdriver, electronic solder iron, multimeter, network connection, and computer for presentation.

Visa （Invitation Letter）
Please visit the website of Chinese Embassy in your country for specific information on applying for a China visa from your country. Organizing Committee now are preparing the invitation letter for the people who will travel to shanghai to attend the appraisal, Pls. provide these people’s name and passport No. to make the letter. If any other materials are needed for the visa, pls. contact with committee by email (nuedc@sjtu.edu.cn) ASAP.
Registration
Participating teams from overseas should arrive in Shanghai and register on July 20, 2026.
The committee can help book rooms in the hotels near SJTU campus for overseas teams. Also you can make your own reservation in other hotels. If you want committee to help book rooms, please fill the attached receipt, and send it to the contact person before July 10, 2026. So the hotel can be arranged smoothly. And all the expense should be cover by the teams.
Remote Appraisal
Considering the Visa application and Travel cost, each team can send one team member as a representative to participate in the face to face judging session of appraisal in July, 2026 in Shanghai of China. Also if has reasonable reasons, teams can apply for remote appraisal (online appraisal via Tencent Meeting) by sending application for remote appraisal to nuedc@sjtu.edu.cn before July 10, 2026.
